To what extend does Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation Essay - 1
Whatever expand joints Commission International (JCI) Accreditation principles improves social insurance facilities(2) - Essay Example Logical enquiry or research includes a progression of steps that starts with characterizing the issues through appropriate examinations utilizing a logical methodology and devise techniques to arrive at a reasonable arrangement. Specialists have separated this procedure of logical research under eight sub-divisions. The primary trademark is reason, which suggests that each scientist ought to have a particular reason for undertaking the exploration. This is the underlying advance that would empower the analyst to discover appropriate answers and strategies to tackle the issue. The following significant prerequisite is meticulousness by which specialists should be mindful and conscientious during the exploration procedure so as to keep away from any mistakes or predisposition that may influence the final products. The following necessity is testability by which a speculation ought to be exposed to appropriate testing forms after assortment of the necessary information. Following the te sting procedure the scientist ought to likewise guarantee that the outcomes acquired are replicable each time the examination is directed under comparable conditions as this will guarantee that the speculation is reproducible. The following necessity for any exploration is accuracy and certainty. Accuracy guarantees that the outcomes got from the examination are pertinent to the theory made and the certainty levels uncover the degree to which the outcomes are right. Notwithstanding the above elements, each specialist should be objective in their exploration by which any abstract or passionate inclination ought to be dispensed with and the examination translation ought to be founded on the information alone. Another significant prerequisite is speculation of the investigation by which the examination could be applied to any setting. At long last the investigation ought to likewise be easy to perform and see as opposed to complex.(Sekaran, 2003). The accompanying part starts with the meaning of the exploration issue and afterward portrays the motivation behind this examination, following which the investigation targets are point by point and thusly the investigation setting is depicted. The exploration philosophy that incorporates the examining techniques is clarified and the kinds of information to be utilized, information assortment and examination are then investigated. The commitment of the investigation is depicted at long last. The strategy utilized in the investigation is telephonic meeting and utilization of an official staff poll with the IMC staff individuals. Mother Teresa Of Calcutta Theology Religion Essay
Mother Teresa Of Calcutta Theology Religion Essay Favored Teresa of Calcutta, conceived Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu and generally known as Mother Teresa of Calcutta, was an ethnic Albanian, Indian Roman Catholic pious devotee. By blood, I am Albanian. By citizenship, an Indian. By confidence, I am a Catholic cloister adherent. With respect to my calling, I have a place with the world. With regards to my heart, I have a place totally with the Heart of Jesus. The book Mother Teresa by Navin Chawla is a delicate, insightful history composed with Mother Teresas full collaboration and support, depicting her crucial confidence and rules that guided her. The primary American distribution of the approved history of Mother Teresa (distributed in UK in 1992), this book was composed over a five-year time span (1987-1992). The creator, an Indian civil servant and a resigned boss political race magistrate of India, has gathered numerous letters and uncommon photos, which give individual appeal as she depicts the life of this Albanian sister who has lived in Calcutta since 1928. To peruse this book is to be out of nowhere raised to Mother Teresas transformative vision of the world. Mother Teresa considers the to be as the very body of the killed Christ, and she sees uncleanliness patients as beneficiaries of an endowment of God intended to carry them closer to Him. Page by page, the drumbeat of this bewildering perspective makes it in a split second clear how the author of the Missionaries of Charity has changed what ought to be the most horrifying conditions of affliction, destitution and passing into a chance to serve the messed up body of the living Christ. What makes this life story stand apart from the numerous different books of Mother Teresa is Navin Chawlas extraordinary access to the Saint of the Gutters and the strict convictions he holds. Navin is a Hindu, however alludes to himself as close to skeptic. Who preferred to compose a memoir over one who is incredulous? He composes of the realities, which incorporate supernatural occurrences that happen each day. Mother Teresa herself enlightens him concerning these wonders, on the off chance that you ask, you will see them. He composes realities which nobody can question. The five years Navin took to finish the book empowered him to comprehend the inward individual and convey his bits of knowledge. It was clear right from the Prologue where he composes, As a Hindu, it took me longer than most to comprehend that Mother Teresa is with Christ each cognizant hour, regardless of whether at Mass or with each of those to whom she tends to. It's anything but an alternate Christ on her cross and an alternate one which untruths passing on at Kalighat. For Mother Teresa, to adore ones neighbor is to cherish God. This is what is basic to her. MOTHER TERESA, AN INDIVIDUAL WITH STRONG CHARACTER The life story began with the biographers note on how he figured out how to get the authorization from Mother Teresa to compose a book not about her yet about the work and gives a short record of accomplishment of administrations by Mother Teresa. At that point he discusses the adolescence of Mother Teresa however not given in detail yet was adequate to clarify the musings that drove her to turning into a religious recluse. Mother Teresa was conceived as Agnesã « Gonxhe Bojaxhiu on 26th August 1910 as the most youthful youngster to Nikola and Drane Bojaxhiu in Skopje, Yogoslavia. Her mom, Drane who was not simply strict however viable and duty to her confidence impacted the character and the profound existence of youthful Agnes. Agness strict arrangement grew further through her broad contribution in the dynamic Jesuit area of sacrosanct heart. She was depicted as a decent understudy, fastidious in appearance, efficient, one who never rejected assistance or help and amicable by her relatives which she created being a piece of the Sodality. At eighteen years old, she chose to leave her home and become a religious woman as she understood her livelihood was towards poor people. From here the book gives minute insights about Mother Teresas venture from her underlying days in India particularly in Darjeeling and Kolkata as a sister at Loreto religious community, Entally where she took her promises, those of neediness, virtuousness and compliance to turning out to be Bengali Teresa. An individual with solid otherworldliness and a profound love for her partners (Sisters) and devotees (understudies), Mother Teresas twenty years at Loreto was noted for her cause, unselfishness and boldness, her ability for difficult work and a characteristic ability for association, she experienced her sanctification to Jesus, amidst her colleagues, with constancy and happiness. MOTHER TERESA, A LEADER WITH CONVICTION Now of time when she got a bring in a call as an inward order to proceed to serve the poor in the lanes, she moved toward the circumstance with much reflection and conference with her otherworldly counsel Father Van Exem. She needed to stay dedicated to her catholic confidence and not be viewed as a mainstream that had deserted her job as Mother. A long time later with just three Saris and pennies she was on her way into the roads planning to give love and expectation where none existed and with a solid faith in her motivation that God would be her supplier. This is an European lady that ventured out into the least fortunate of the poor avenues of India with no cash, no home and no certifications. She has been criticized, starved had stones tossed at her, been compromised and mistreated. She is the person who began her first school in Quite a while with a twig that she drew out the Bengali letter set in less than a tree. She didnt have confidence in sparing, as she generally accepted that God would give. She never requested gifts, however at times would fall back on asking as the poor did. Never for herself yet consistently for other people. The astonishing thing about her was that she did everything on trust. Today there are homes made by her in more than 130 nations including the U.S. Her Missionary Services called Missionaries of Charity keeps on developing much after her passing. There are Sisters and Brothers that serve and have all taken the neediness pledge and live precisely like poor people. She generally alluded to herself as a unimportant instrument of God and all the work was finished by God. MOTHER TERESA, A LEADER WITH A STRONG VISION AND MISSION One of the most significant standards Mother Teresa lived by as a pioneer was herà Vision. She understood that she was the voice of her vision. She needed to state it obviously. The vision was kept straightforward and unambiguous and she put stock in it and lived it each dayin all that she did. The vision inspired her consistently and she installed it profoundly into the association that she fabricated. She likewise had a reasonable objective which was her strategic her entire life-to serve and to do Gods will. Her case of moral utilization of intensity has become a guide to the individuals who have a lot of influence in this world. She demonstrated the world that one needn't bother with cash, power, an office, staff, an oppressive voice to change the world. Rather, all that is required is a conviction, a heart of lowliness, and an existence of dedication. Her work itself had significant impact in the most far-fetched places and frequently at the most noteworthy spots. For example she was a gigantic power in the congregation. The pope constantly got her at whatever point she visited Rome, as he may get his own kid. The book discusses a few cases where her solicitations to a countrys President were conceded right away. She took activities during a starvation in Ethiopia, spread the message to the then US President Ronald Reagan and he sent his assistance to the spot with food and medication. She was considered as the most influential lady on the planet, yet she remained quietude itself. The life story gives an immediate record of the character of Mother Teresa. The creator gives unaltered depictions of occasions from which we can without much of a stretch recognize these character characteristics as our own. She appears to be a strong, decided, concentrated person who dont set out to ask, to ask for poor people; a deliberate individual who realizes how a chain of command functions, who knows needs and the estimation of cash. She was basic, yet dedicated. An individual with a dream and worth the significance of supplication! The creator is profoundly moved by the way that while a large portion of us like to concentrate on the huge thought, or the huge vision, Mother Teresa concentrated on reliability in the littlest things. While we consider cherishing the entire world, she encouraged us to adore our neighbor. While we center around doing incredible things, she concentrated on doing little things with affection. Eventually, it is these little things that will decide whether we will accomplish anything huge in our life. MOTHER TERESA, AS A TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADER As a pioneer, the more one is happy to forfeit and surrender oneself for the bigger vision, the more prominent the natural products one will bear. The more one sows as far as exertion, time and cash, the more one will harvest in ones life. Mother Teresa gave herself completely to ease the neediness around her by contacting each life in turn, and she achieved such a great amount toward a mind-blowing finish. Mother Teresa is a fine case of a pioneer in todays culture. Her significant humble ways and administration has everlastingly formed the manner in which this world glances at the individuals who live without it. Notwithstanding her initiative characteristics Mother Teresa would not have ascended to extraordinary statures to win the hearts of the a huge number of individuals around the world. She served poor people, stranded and biting the dust individuals for more than forty-five years and never under any circumstance was burnt out on her administration. The genuine stories refere nced in the book contact and move our heart. At the point when the individuals influenced with infection were considered as untouchables, she stretched out her administration to them and thought about them by beginning numerous homes. Mother Teresa was modest and never thought about her own picture, an uncommon quality that could scarcely be found in any pioneer far and wide. At whatever point she happened to go in flights, she used to gather the extra food from all the explorers on the plane and dispersed the gathered food to the eager and penniless individuals. In spite of the fact that she had no cash ordinarily, she never dithered to ask to help individuals. She was very gallant in helping individuals experiencing infection. She never was drained in hel

Robo-CJ writes a college app
Robo-CJ writes a college app Iâm procrastinating on doing psets, so I trained GPT-2, a neural network thatâs frighteningly good at writing, on my old blog posts. And then I made this AI write college essays. Quotes None of these quotes are human-written; theyâre all machine-generated. Iâm not sure if I want to be happy or not. Im low-key grateful for being alive. Iâm sorry that Iâm not doing enough to help people. Iâm sorry that Iâve been doing a lot, but Iâm not doing enough. i hate the thought that if i tell them i have this problem, they wouldnt believe me These all sounds like things I would say. In fact, I had to look at my blog posts to check that Iâve never written these before. Iâve been thinking about the things Iâve done in the past, and how much of it was just luck. Itâs even picked up the impostor syndrome from me. I was going to write a blog post about it, but I couldnât find the time. Iâve been working on a new project, and Iâm writing a short essay, and Iâm not even halfway done with. Now this is just an attack. It picked up on my bad procrastination habits too. I cant say Im fully prepared for the prospect of college. Sure, Im familiar with the basics: the mechanics of purchasing a house, paying rent, getting a job, getting a car, working, attending classes. But theres a difference between someone whos already made a living and someone whos just starting. Whats the point? The point is to make money. Rest assured that purchasing a house is not part of the basics of college. The first time I convinced myself to watch anime was when I was seventeen. It was an innocent thing to do, at the time, and it paid off. It made me happy. It made me believe that I could make a difference. Accurate, except that I started watching anime earlier. I instead use a format similar to PDFs and Word, except I convert the reader to a document instead. Okay, what? The details This semester, Iâm taking 6.036, which is Introduction to Machine Learning. Itâs one of the largest classes here, with an enrollment of around 800 students, 350 or so of which are undergrads. I took the class because machine learning is that one big buzzword that Iâve never really understood that well. The contentâs challenging to follow, but itâs fun because I can now read blog posts from OpenAI and understand at least some of the buzzwords. Like cross entropy or stochastic gradient descent or softmax or reLU. I didnât need to know anything about machine learning to do this project though, because of a neat library called gpt-2-simple. And I didnât need to find a GPU to run it, because Google Colab makes it easy to run it online. In fact, thereâs a Google Colab notebook using gpt-2-simple that makes it really easy to use it. So most of the actual work was scraping my blog posts and saving them to one big text file. Thereâs a Python library called requests, which I used to pull the content from my AoPS blog. The formatâs in json, so Python has a json library which extracts the actual blog post content from a given page. And this is written in bbcode, so I had to parse it with another library called bbcode. Basically, I just reused a bunch of code that other people have already written. Hooray open source! I ended up with a file that was a little under a megabyte. It was around 180 thousand words long, the length of a book. Then I used the gpt-2-simple Colab notebook, followed the instructions, trained with GPT-2-small, and waited for an hour or so. The first attempt was mostly good, but had some weird formatting issues, and I realized this was because I didnât clean up the file. After cleaning it up (like replacing fancy quotes â with normal quotes) and training it again, I ended up with something Iâm pretty satisfied with. For the purposes of this post, this derivative of GPT-2 is dubbed Robo-CJ. Heâs pretty bad at coherent sense, but every once in a while he lucks out and writes something decent. More quotes These, and the quotes from the previous section, are from random generation. I just let Robo-CJ write something completely randomly. Robo-CJâs attempt at EC gothic: After a while, you realize what your current place is. Its a spare room, which isnt really much of a place, because the mattress is placed on the floor. And the mattress is still laying there, as is the places fridge. So you sleep somewhere else. You wake up, see the places air conditioning gone, feel the cold, overpowering heat. You put the pillow that was placed front and center in the room gone, because it was probably the only place in the whole mall that had one. Robo-CJ writes fiction: The thirteenth floor of the Charles River boasts the last remaining places of human habitation. Like every other floor in the city, its surface is gray, its water is generally unaccustomed to being cold. But there are people, and there are fish, and there are people, and there are fish, and there are people, and there are people, and its hard not to love them. He seems to have picked up my rhythm: I found my balance and rose, and danced, and flew, and soared, and soared, and soared, and soared, the rhythm, the rhythm of the city, the rhythm of the rhythm of the city, the city was falling apart, people were being let out, the highway was silent, everyone was riding their bike, the first train was out, and I was the second train, the sidewalk was empty, people were walking, the line for the first train was long, and it was people who were going to MIT, me irl: Im definitely bad at making decisions. Because, well I made a lot of stupid decisions. I woke up to a headache. It was a bit familiar, but it made me feel like I was having a new, existential crisis. I dont have a choice in this; I cant seriously pursue a career in mathematics research. Im not even close to choosing. Or, Its not as if Im thinking about becoming a programmer. I literally have no plans at all. I dont have any daydreams right now, any plans at all. I just want to get my life together. I dont know what Im looking for, except maybe friendship, but I dont know what that looks like either. not me irl: Im running out of money. I can afford to. Ive managed to save some money, and I can finally afford to live a life that is more balanced and less stressful. And Ive managed to spend less time crying over things and more time being sad about everything. So I quit my psets and went to a sleepover. Canât tell if deep or just random: In English, three is more than two. Prompts This section is a bit different. We start with a prompt that I wrote, which is in bold. Robo-CJ then completes the rest of it. For example: I hate the idea of a big city because it feels so detached from the larger context of our universe. I hate the idea of a kingdom because it is so attached to the concept of a big city. I hate the idea of the moon because it is so attached to the concept of a moon. Here, I wrote âI hate theâ, and let Robo-CJ finish the rest. It seems that he really dislikes the moon, but I donât quite understand why. If I went to MIT, I would have a job in the fall, and I dont. But I dont want one either. baseless attacks :( I applied to MIT because I thought it would be a good fit for me. I applied to [redacted]. I applied to [redacted]. And I didnt get a single rejection. Robo-CJ wrote out the [redacted]s, those arenât actual redactions. And this is very false, because I got rejected from a lot of the colleges I applied to. I applied to MIT because I really wanted to study something, but I knew that the admissions officer would not allow me to. So I rejected. I applied to MIT because I thought it would be a good fit for me. I applied again the day after I got rejected. I applied to MIT because I wanted to be a Harvard alum. I tried prompting Robo-CJ with âThe rhythm sets inâ, which is the start of one of my blog posts. Heâs pretty poetic: The rhythm sets in. The guitar blows, the lead singer puts her hands on her knees, tears up. The world turns black, and silhouettes us from all sides. We are the silhouettes of the people around us: fathers and mothers, taxi drivers and waitresses, students and professors, parents and teachers, neighbors and teachers. The words come out of my mouth: home. Home. The rhythm sets in. The song continues as it ends. It ends. Withâ¦the rhythm. It ends with a bang. It ends with the sound of the buildings glass. It ends with the sound of the peoples voices in the hallway. It ends with the sound of the elevators glass, door, arm, and passenger facing the street. It ends with the sound of the elevators glass, door, passengers face, arm, and passengers voice, not the street were walking down. It ends with the sound of the sidewalk, sidewalk, sidewalk If you format the prompt right, you can even get Robo-CJ to answer questions. For example, here I prompt it with âDo I want to be a course 601 computer science; the most common undergraduate major ?â Do I want to be a course 6? I have a vague idea of what kinds of knowledge I want to acquire in college. I mean, I want to be a math major, I want to be a biomedical engineer, I want to be in the biomedical sciences, I want to be in the Life science department at MIT, I want to be a tenured professor, I want to be living with a partner, I want to be cooking, I want to be in the sport of icebreakers, I want to be at least slightly shorter than 62, but I dont know if I can hit all of them. Do I want to be a course 6? (This question was originally posed by Carina.02 Interestingly enough, the name Carina is never mentioned in any of my blog posts. ) Hi Carina, its great that youre joining our math intensive fun! Ill call you tomorrow or the day after to join one of our practice labs. Do I want to be a course 6? Where do I end up going to college? What are my major concerns? What are my major challenges? How confident are I about what I can do with my college life? If I could pick both, where would I live? [Both answers are Chicago.] Do I want to be a course 6? Have I ever said I was going to get broke if I didnt join? I even got Robo-CJ to write some poetry for us! Heâs a better poet than I am: I wrote a poem today: I am going to build a city from the ground up And replace it with my own In my sleep I dream of waking up To hunt, to fish, to be a hunter And now Im just a fish in a much bigger pond Alas, my life has a lot more to live for me I wrote a poem today: I am at the mall Going through the aisle Seeing people Getting lost Time to sit and write My life is too comfortable I write I feel young Getting lost I wrote a poem today: I am not a god I, I, am not a I, I, I, I, I, I, Not sure if that last one is a postmodern masterpiece or the neural net getting stuck in a loop. College app essays Finally, the moment youâve all been waiting for. I ask Robo-CJ to answer MITâs application essay questions. Robo-CJ often ends up rambling about something else, especially for the third essay, but here you go! Essay 1 Q: We know you lead a busy life, full of activities, many of which are required of you. Tell us about something you do simply for the pleasure of it. A: I, and others like to think I do, try to balance these by limiting myself to reading, watching, and listening to a lot of anime. Anime is great guys. I think thatâs one good thing Robo-CJ learned from me. Q: We know you lead a busy life, full of activities, many of which are required of you. Tell us about something you do simply for the pleasure of it. A: I, and others like to think I do, try to find time to write, mostly. But Im also a busy person, and I spend a great deal of time on compadres. Robo-CJ likes to spend time with his compadres! Q: We know you lead a busy life, full of activities, many of which are required of you. Tell us about something you do simply for the pleasure of it. A: I do not partake in the pleasures of life. Oh no. Q: We know you lead a busy life, full of activities, many of which are required of you. Tell us about something you do simply for the pleasure of it. A: I do so much with my life simply because I do so many things for the pleasure of it. I cant even tell you the stories completely, but Ill do them anyway. And I didnt have to let anyone else do anything else. I ate dinner together, went out for yakitori, drank the Kool-Aid, walked to the mall, picked up a box of chewing gum, and went to my friends room to plug it in. He has a stuffed Ice Bear plush, he tells me, and I have a scene to sleep to in the morning. Ive memorized a lot of names and memorized a lot of names too. Sounds like an interesting life. Essay 2 Q: Although you may not yet know what you want to major in, which department or program at MIT appeals to you and why? A: It really doesnt matter which department or which program. I still want to study in MIT, and I still want to study at MIT, and I still want to study in MIT. But if any one of these three are right, my college experience would be a mess. Can relate to being a mess. Although you may not yet know what you want to major in, which department or program at MIT appeals to you and why? After all, if youre going to major in MIT, youll probably need to be excellent at something. At this point youre probably not going to understand a single thing that comes to mind. Can also relate to not understanding a single thing. Q: Although you may not yet know what you want to major in, which department or program at MIT appeals to you and why? A: It really doesnt matter which department or what. Ive already filled out both the departmental and ongoing requirements for majoring in math. Robo-CJ is so ahead of his game heâs already started his Course 18 major. Q: Although you may not yet know what you want to major in, which department or program at MIT appeals to you and why? A: Programming languages and data structures. â¦or his Course 6 major. Who knows? Although you may not yet know what you want to major in, which department or program at MIT appeals to you and why? Its pretty much impossible to know right now which programming language you should major in, because youre still figuring out and its going to be pretty much a function of several factors. You can always try: apt-get update, which is a free tool that sets and processes free and certified copies of free free software windows desktop, which is a graphical user interface and application development kit a working copy of ukulele gnome text editor xkcd Debian Stretch I donât think thereâs a program called ukulele, but Iâm interested in seeing what it does. Although you may not yet know what you want to major in, which department or program at MIT appeals to you and why? Its either MIT or Science. And if youre both Science, youll be a sponge. Can confirm, am indeed a sponge. Essay 3 Thereâs only one good response to this one. Q: At MIT, we bring people together to better the lives of others. MIT students work to improve their communities in different ways, from tackling the worldâs biggest challenges to being a good friend. Describe one way in which you have contributed to your community, whether in your family, the classroom, your neighborhood, etc. A: Being a good friend is a lot more than just a single thing. Being a good friend is not something you can easily switch from one situation to another. As a rule, good friends tend to be older than their younger siblings, and less capable of tackling difficult social and organizational decisions. I think people tend to be older than their younger siblings in general. Essay 4 Describe the world you come from; for example, your family, clubs, school, community, city, or town. How has that world shaped your dreams and aspirations? For me, the thing that made me happy was that I had a stable of people I could be friends with. I found people I enjoyed talking to, seeing them, talking to them. We would talk about things that were unrelated, like our families, or our friends, or our past lives. We would also talk about the future, or at least the past. Iâm not sure what Robo-CJ was thinking of when he talks about a âstableâ of people. Describe the world you come from; for example, your family, clubs, school, community, city, or town. How has that world shaped your dreams and aspirations? For me, the most significant thing that happened was that I realized that I was dreaming it could not happen. That I am a mirage. An axiomatic falsification. A confirmation bias. A false dichotomy. This is incredibly sad. It confirms what I already believe: that I am cursed. That I can be whatever I want, as long as I conform to its version of the world. Shoot, heâs self-conscious. Describe the world you come from; for example, your family, clubs, school, community, city, or town. How has that world shaped your dreams and aspirations? For me, the most significant thing thats shaped my dreams and aspirations has been the internet. Growing up a fan of the web was not something that really came into my head until I was seventh grade. When I got my first laptop, it was a laptop with a screen that was a hundred times brighter than the screen of the nearest light. I was introduced to the web through video, and when I was fifteen or so, I got my first home-computer, the HP K701. Now, Im in my mid-20s. The fact that I have a home computer, while a major turning point, is a huge turning point in my life. I dont know what my future holds in my laptop, or what my future will hold in my life if I dont have the internet, but the fact remains; the web was the only thing I had built up since childhood that Im not going to be able to tear apart. The fact that I have a computer, while a lot of other people do, still feels like an afterthought. Im still the same person, the same age, the same race, the same culture. The fact that Im writing this doesnt feel different at all. It feels like it wont, it doesnt feel different at all. These three paragraphs are surprisingly coherent. I mean, okay, it wouldnât get an A in an English class, but come on. Itâs a robot. I wouldnât write this well if I was a robot. Essay 5 Q: Tell us about the most significant challenge youâve faced or something important that didnât go according to plan. How did you manage the situation? A: I handled the situation really well. I managed to take the keys out of my roomâ extremely gracefully. Although they were probably not the right size, I did it. Impressive. Not only did Robo-CJ take his keys, but he took it extremely gracefully. Q: Tell us about the most significant challenge youâve faced or something important that didnât go according to plan. How did you manage the situation? A: It was simple. Iâve made as much as I could in as many places. Okay? Tell us about the most significant challenge youve faced or something important that didnt go according to plan. How did you manage the situation? Its frustrating because there are a lot of good things going on in our lives and Im very grateful for them. But at the same time, its also incredibly draining. Its gotten to the point where I dont have the capacity to fully appreciate a thing thats been around for a month or two. And when it comes to appreciating things, the combination is blanket loss of context. If you took a bucket of water and placed it on top of the bucket, youd get a glimpse of the universe. But the universe wasnt myopia; it was realism. Bucket after bucket of water brings a different perspective to the experience, allowing one to appreciate things in greater detail. Realism notwithstanding, there are a lot of things going on inside my head that arent going to make the same level of soak. The realization is that my work was actually productive, and that I made new stuffs that I made while I was at it, was a good life decision, one that I was happy with. Whereas, the realization that Im not happy should make a good choice for picking college essays, when I know I want a PhD or a postdoctoral fellowship. This is also surprisingly coherent, but I didnât know he wanted a PhD. Maybe I should direct Robo-CJ to graduate admissions03 Apparently, they have blogs too! Neat. ? Some closing notes Robo-CJ isnât consistently good at responding questions, or writing. This is maybe the top five percent of the content heâs written, and maybe ten percent of what he writes is good. The answers for the essays, for example, are selected from maybe fifty or so attempts to answer each prompt. (So no, you canât get a robot to write your college essays for you, yet.) Thereâs a bunch of other cool stuff made with GPT-2, like: Write With Transformer, a writing app that lets GPT-2 autocomplete your text. Type some stuff in, press Tab, and see what GPT-2 comes up with. Gwernâs AI-Generated Poetry, for even more poetry examples from GPT-2. Subreddit Simulator GPT-2, which simulates Reddit subreddits using GPT-2. Of particular interest are submissions from the Totally Not Robots bot, which is a robot that imitates a human that imitates a robot that imitates a human. With the deadline for Early Action quickly approaching, I hope Robo-CJ made you smile a little while finishing your apps. I applied to MIT early action a year ago, and I really relate to one of Robo-CJâs responses for the second question: Although you may not yet know what you want to major in, which department or program at MIT appeals to you and why? After all, you are not going to MIT without doing some serious introspection. While Robo-CJ doesnât answer the question here, heâs on point. Writing college essays made me do a lot of serious introspection. It helped me figure out my identity, somewhat. And now that Iâm here, at MIT, Iâm still doing a lot of serious introspectionâ"and Iâm still figuring out my identity. Iâll close with some of Robo-CJâs thoughts on MIT, which echo mine: im not sure how i feel about this i dont know what i want to do with my life i dont know what im feeling about MIT i am still figuring out the logistics of every single day you know, its just fun. Outbursts of terror happened often targeting the black community. A 14 year-old black boy, names Emmett Till, was beaten and brutally murdered by two white men for allegedly whistling at a white women. After his death, his mother, Mamie Till, stood up for not only her son, but for the African American Community in an attempt to stop discrimination as a whole. Beginning with an open casket funeral and then speeches and protests, she began to have a voice in the Black community and the Civil Rights movement. Although Emmetts death is what sparked much attention in the Black community, without Mamie Tills heroism and activism against segregation and persecution the Civil Rights movement would not have become so strong. SEGREGATION IN THE SOUTH à à à à à à à à à à à à à à à After the 13th amendment, abolishing slavery, was passed in 1865, most states adopted Black Codes. These laws limited the freedom that these newly freed slaves had. Soon in 1874, the codes became known as the Jim Crow laws, claiming that Blacks were separate but equal. These laws kept the Blacks from getting the accommodations the Whites had available at their the tips of their fingers. The Jim Crow laws maintained separate public facilities, including schools, bathrooms, seating on buses, and many more. This gained much tension between the two races, leading to much violence. Inà 1909, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) was established. This interracial association was developed specifically in response to the violence targeting the Black community. It helped to advance the rights and justice of the African Americans. The NAACP soon became known all around the country. In 1917, more than 10,000 New Yorkers silently marched in a protest, organized by the NAACP, against violence towards the Blacks. This was one of the first mass demonstrations against racial segregation. As a first step towards equal rights, the NAACP aimed to rid segregation laws in public schools. This would soon be named Brown vs. Board of Education of Topeka, after Linda Brown was denied in an all-white elementary school in Topeka, Kansas. In 1954, the NAACP finally met with the Supreme court and abolished all segregation laws in schools. It was claimed that racial segregation in public educational systems was unconstitutional. However, many schools in the south denied the ruling and remained segregated. Although Brown vs. Board of Education didnt have much effect on the education system, it would eventually lead to the abolishment of many laws enforcing segregation in public facilities. Meanwhile, violence towards the Black community continued and wasnt getting any better. Less than a year later, Emmett Till, a 14 year old African American, was beaten and murdered in Mississippi. Emmetts case was a big turning point in Americas struggle with civil rights. Emmett was traveling down South to Mississippi, where segregation was known to be especially harsh. Before departing, his, mother, Mamie warned Emmett of the intense subjection that the Blacks got in the South. She told him that it was often enforced through murder. Emmett was prepared not to speak, look, or even stand near a white person. However, soon after he arrived, he flirted and whistled at a white store owner, Carolyn Bryant, in her store. Four days later, on August 28, 1955, Emmett was taken from his great-uncles house by Roy Bryant and JW Milam, the husband and brother-in-law of Carolyn Bryant. He was thrown into the back of their truck, then beaten and shot in a nearby barn. The two men tied a 200 pound iron mill fan to his neck and threw him into the Tallahatchie River. On August 29, the next day, Bryant and milam were charged with the kidnapping and are jailed for suspicion of Emmetts murder.à Willie Reed, a local farm hand, saw Till get put into the truck and later h eard the screams coming from the barn. After floating for 3 days, a fisherman found Emmetts body on August 31st. The only way of identifying him was his ring, a ring that had been his fathers.à à à Mamie was not notified that Emmett had been found in Mississippi until September 1st. Devastated by her sons murder and abuse, she insisted that the burial be in Chicago, where they lived. She would not have her son be buried in the place that killed him. In addition, she demanded that her son be left the way he was and not cleaned. That way, during the funeral the world could see his damaged body in an open casket funeral. The funeral was held on September 3rd, at Chicagos Roberts Temple Church of God in Christ in Chicago. Thousands of people showed up to see the maimed body. Press published articles about Emmetts murder and funeral. In Jet magazine, a story was published where a photograph of Emmetts body was shown and the full story was told.à Many African Americans had been lynched in the past, however, their no justice was brought to either side. Emmetts case was the first to go to trial with an all white-jury. On September 23rd, the jury drops Bryant and Milams charges for murder, resulting in major rallies and demonstrations in Baltimore, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York. After finding information that Louis Till, Emmetts father, had been executed in Europe for raping two women and killing a third, both the murder and kidnapping charges were dropped on November 20th. The jury claimed that this type of behavior must run in the Till family and the two men were set free without any charges and announced innocent. This outraged the Black community nationwide. After all charges were dropped, Milam and Bryant sold their story to a journalist for 4,000 dollars. They claimed they had no intention to kill Emmett, however after he refused to repent, they were forced to kill him. After this confession, the m en could not be tried twice for the same crime because they were protected by double jeopardy. However, Mamie would not let her sons death be just another one of the many murdered African American victims. The verdict sparked much controversy throughout the Black community, leading to many protests and rallies internationally. Magazines and newspapers were publishing Emmetts story and were gaining more and more attention. Letters were sent to the White House protesting the verdict. The NAACP organized mass protests nationwide with Mamie as the featured speaker in each of them.

Relationship between Genetic Suceptibility, Obesity, and...
TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS (T2DM) This type of diabetes commonly occurs in the later stage of life but due to increase in obesity; it also occurs in young adult. Type 2 diabetes can be defined as insulin resistant and insulin deficiency in the blood stream. OBESITY Obesity can be defined as been overweight with excess accumulated body fat by subcutaneously and viscerally; resulting in a high body mass index (BMI) which has negative effects on health (Taylor et al, 2010). BMI is defined by dividing an individualââ¬â¢s weight in kilogram by the square of the individualââ¬â¢s height in meters (kg/m2) which indicates if the individual is underweight, overweight or obese; having a BMI equal to or more than 25kg/m2 is classed as overweight while having aâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦This shows that an increasing number of the British public are suffering from obesity. GENETIC PREDISPOSITION Ji and Friedman (2007) state that obesity or overweight can be due to rich fat food consumption and is influenced by a genetic predisposition in humans. As explained above, type 2 diabetes is a multifactorial disease that is influenced by various genetic and ecological factors. Genetic or inherited factors help determine humanââ¬â¢s susceptibility to Type 2 diabetes and obesity is an ecological risk factor in developing diabetes type 2 (Park, 2011). The combination of inherited susceptibility with ecological factors can generate a positive energy balance, which produces an excessive amount of adipose tissues; containing accumulated fats that influence the development of type 2 diabetes (Ji and Friedman, 2007). Genetically, research shows that Type 2 diabetes mostly occur in family with genealogy of the disease and often connotes children have 40% probability of developing Type 2 diabetes if their parent is a carrier (Park, 2011). Multifactorial disease such as Type 2 diabetes; Candidate gene association study (CGAS) and Genome wide association study (GWAS) are methods used to identify genes associated with specified disease and the studies found evidence that certain genes

The entire show was conducted to demonstrate what the students have learned in their respective classes as well as for the entertainment of the whole student body. We will write a custom essay sample on Pe Paper or any similar topic only for you Order Now During the 4th night, a number of sections of line dance, modern dance, belly dance and street jazz danced their feet off flaunting their acquired knowledge of callisthenic techniques. And for a whole hour the entire show was filled with laughter, amazement, and pure entertainment. The performances consisted majority of street jazz and modern dances. Each group presented satisfactorily. Inevitably, some routines were less synchronized and their moves were not showcased well-enough. There were also moments when the movements and dance steps lack power and distinction. However, these mishaps were the source of comedy for the audience rousing them more. In addition, it can be suggested that the other groups should have chosen more appropriate song accompaniment and costumes to liven up their exhibition. There was also a set of performers which obviously did not incorporate more original steps and seemed to have gotten their moves from an existing performance found on the internet or a video somewhere. No matter what, the whole show was very much entertaining. The small cost of the ticket for that event was so much worth the spectacle. The students may have been busy since they also have academic works to attend to, still, they managed to take time to practice, choreograph and present their respective numbers. Mikki Ellaine M. Bulanan 2011-42642 Reaction Paper: Kinetics Festival 2012 (Friday) The final night of a week-long celebration of the Kinetics Festival was comprised of various numbers from individual classes of Philippine Folk Dance, belly dance, line dance and tap dance. Following the previous nights, the whole show lasted for a little more than an hour but received a very high count of audience compared to the others. The whole Baker Hall stadium was filled with students who were expecting to be entertained as well as support their fellow students who were tasked to display the knowledge taught during their PE sessions. For a start multiple performances from line dance class perked up the crowd with their witty acts. Some members were really outstanding while there were a few who seemed to have forgotten their beats. One group of dancers chose a very matching set of costumes which enunciate their cowboy theme. Tap dance may not be the most popular here in the country yet the cluster which performed this specific routine did not fail to entertain everyone. Their funky moves and style were coordinated very well. The only belly dance number that night was very daring and bold in terms of their movements and poses. The young women performing were really seductive especially in their skimpy yet elegant sashes and ââ¬Å"ringing belts. â⬠Lastly, a count of Philippine folk dances wrapped up the night by exhibiting very solemn yet interesting moves which aroused the nationalistic views of the students. Their costumes were as colorful as the rich cultural heritage of the Filipinos. They were impressive that even though there were minor flaws on their in step, they still pull off the whole number.
